A Day in My Life: The Chaos, The Hustle, and The Little Joys
Share
If you’ve ever wondered what my days actually look like, here’s the truth: they’re not glamorous, they’re not “aesthetic,” and they’re definitely not organized from sunrise to sunset. My life is a mix of chaos, hustle, laughter, and those little pockets of joy that keep me going.
I wanted to share this because I think too often we see “day in the life” posts that feel staged or like a highlight reel. This isn’t that. This is me — bonnet on, half-drunk coffee, son running around, phone dinging with notifications — and still trying to make the most of it.
☀️ Morning Madness
Mornings in my house aren’t slow or dreamy. They’re loud. The alarm goes off, my son is up, and I’m already multitasking between making breakfast, checking emails, and trying to convince myself that reheated coffee is still coffee.
There are mornings I feel on top of it — and there are mornings where cereal in a plastic bowl is the best I can do. And you know what? Both are fine.
I’ve learned that giving myself grace in the mornings sets the tone for the rest of the day. Not every morning has to look like Pinterest. Sometimes survival is the routine.
💻 The Hustle Hours
Once the house settles a bit, it’s hustle time. For me, that means juggling blogging, couponing, content creating, and whatever side hustles are running at the moment.
Some days it’s writing blog posts, scheduling pins, or editing TikToks. Other days it’s packing stockpile bundles, answering messages, or running out to snag a deal before it disappears.
The hustle hours can be draining, but they also remind me of why I chose this path. I get to build something that’s mine. And even when it’s exhausting, it’s worth it.
🍳 Everyday Moments in Between
Here’s the part that doesn’t always make it into the highlight reel: the in-between.
- Switching laundry between calls.
- Running to the store for one thing and coming back with five.
- Picking up toys for the tenth time.
- Laughing at something silly my son said.
- Sneaking in a quick recipe video because the kitchen light is just right.
It’s not perfect. It’s real. And those in-between moments are usually the ones I remember most.
🌸 Finding Little Joys
Life isn’t always “balanced,” but I do try to find joy in small ways:
- A new candle burning while I write.
- Playing music while I clean so it feels less like a chore.
- Crafting in the evening when the house is quiet.
- Taking ten minutes to just sit with my thoughts instead of scrolling my phone.
It’s not a full spa day, but these little joys add up. They remind me that life doesn’t have to be perfect to feel good.
💖 Final Thoughts
If you take anything from my “day in the life,” I hope it’s this: everyday life isn’t about making it look perfect. It’s about showing up, making it work, and finding joy where you can.
Some days are chaotic, some days are productive, and some days are a mess — but all of them are worth living. And if you ever feel like your life doesn’t look as polished as what you see online, let me tell you — neither does mine.
But that’s what makes it real. And that’s what makes it yours.
